Children

Formed around the talents of guitarists Skyler Spohn, Jonny "Rad" Ollsin (S.T.R.E.E.T.S.), and drummer Adam Bennati (Early Man), the New York-based Children blend the melodic smokestack and ruin assault of Judas Priest and Iron Maiden-era New Wave of British Heavy Metal with the Sabbath-heavy, retro-thrash style of 21st century metal acts like Mastodon and the Sword. The band materialized out of a series of jam sessions in 2006 and began to gig heavily, culminating in the release of its Kemado debut, Hard Times Hanging at the End of the World, in 2009. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
